Rachel (she/her) is a feminist filmmaker with a background in Cinema Studies and Media Studies from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in Film and TV Production from Loyola Marymount University, School of Film and Television. Her work tackles the political, physical, and emotional issues that women face today, with the goal of challenging traditional narratives and creating space for more authentic and diverse representations.
Since 2021, Rachel has produced multiple projects including the feature film, Hot Cheetos for Layla, the short film, In REM, starring HBO’s Quincy Isaiah, the digital ad “The Smart Play” for Silicon Valley High School, and the short film, Demon Dog, co-produced with David Witz (Invasion (2021), Dunkirk (2017) and Shazam! (2019)). The most recent project that she wrote and directed, Early June, is a proof of concept and was produced by Thursday Dinner.
